At last nights Presentation evening Dave Evans (Saturday Captain) opened the formal proceedings by presenting a £530 cheque to a local charity "Crusader Community Boating" which provides free boat trips for example to those with disablites and from care homes. http://www.crusadercommunityboating.org.uk/about-us.html

  • This money was raised from the fines both teams and the highly sought after "Wally of the week" award.
  • Special thanks were given to Frank "The Greenkeeper" due to his generous and consistent contributions to this significant amount raised.
  • Its also great to see one of our bowlers, "John" helping out as a member of the crew http://www.crusadercommunityboating.org.uk/crew.html

The formal proceedings where then started by President Trevor who

  • thanked those coming to share in the success of those fortunate to win trophies and
  • noted there had been a significant increase in the number of entries in this years competitions which was in many ways the real winner of this years competitions

Mike the Club's poet read out his latest Poem "Heros" in respect of the Manfield Cup Victory in 2019 and then presented the winning team members with "Special" Rosettes containing 3 Cadbury's Hero's at their Centre. Thank you Mike a lovely idea, gesture and greatly appreciated by all.
