Nev Frank and Trevor did very well in the quarter final of the Exec Triples last night at Ketting Lodge against Midland Band's triple and only lost by one shot with a final score of 14 - 15

Well done lads so close. Good luck to the Midland Band Triple in the next round.

In the previous round "The Boys" beat a rink from Daventry Town Bowling club

Extract from John Church's excellent weekly report issues 4 Aug 2019

Shaun Cole, Martin Cinato & Connor Cinato, Kettering Miland Band BC beat Neville Bodily, Frank Craven & Trevor Spear, Northampton Whyte Melville BC 16-15 shots

The first few ends of this match were pretty tight with the core 4 each after 5 ends, and 8 each after 10 ends, but after dropping a single on the 11th end, the Midland Band trio scored a big 5 followed by a 2 for a 15-9 lead with 5 ends to play. Those 5 end got very tight and Connor ‘killed’ an end for the 3rd time when badly placed, and with 2 ends left his triple was 16-13 to the good, but Trevor and his men were in there battling, and picked up a single that then required them to get 2 or more on the last end. That end was played very well by Whyte Melville and when Connor went to bowl he was at least 2 shots down, but he was able to draw 2nd bowl for the victory by the smallest of margins.
